How Would We Begin?
We will have a short conversation to understand your goals and needs. If we are a good fit for each other then we will spend more time getting to know you and/or your business better – especially what you want to achieve. This will include collecting important and necessary information to ensure we do the best work possible for you. Are you Certified & Insured?
Yes! We are registered in Texas & provide excellent service to clients across many different states. We are insured by Hiscox and certified on multiple software platforms. Every month throughout the year we work hard to maintain currency in knowledge and experience completing many hours of continuing education. Our memberships and participation in national leading organizations also means we have other experts to call on when meeting an especially complicated situation. Some of those institutions include the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers, Digital Bookkeepers Association, and the National Association of Tax Professionals. Belinda was also State licensed & taught bookkeeping before moving into the world of business. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Masters of Business Administration with many years as an executive responsible for small and large businesses.
Can I Access My Data?
Anytime you want! Your tax and/or bookkeeping data is always available via the software we use. In fact, we prefer to use cloud-based software because it enables access from anywhere, any device at any time while maintaining exceptional bank-level security against fraud, abuse
Do You Offer QuickBooks Online or Bookkeeping Training?
WE DO! We understand sometimes you need help to find an answer and sometimes you may want to do your own bookkeeping until your business grows. We get it! What is Zoom?
Zoom is an online video conferencing application. It is easy to use and doesn’t require ‘set up’. It allows us to show and cover your monthly reports or other data critical to your business without leaving your office or ours. It is EASY, CONVENIENT and FREE….a great time saver for YOU. And we are ALL ABOUT saving you time, helping you build a more successful practice & keep more of the money you make so you can breathe a little easier and enjoy life a lot more.
How Does the Process Work?
Whether for tax preparation or bookkeeping, it’s actually pretty painless. You can schedule a free 15 minute ‘Let’s Get to Know Each Other’ call by clicking one of the buttons on this website (it will take you to my calendar) or call Belinda at 512-588-4018. We will talk and see if we are a good fit. Then, if we move forward, we will: 1) send you a proposal/engagement letter (NO contracts!) for review, approval & signature 2) collect 1st payment, necessary documents & account info to get started 3) work begins 4) we keep you informed and make your tax prep and/or bookkeeping nicer than you ever thought possible.
How Do I Pay You?
For BOOKKEEPING: We ask that a recurring ACH be set up so that each month – around the 1st of each month – payment will be drawn for your fee that coming month. Your fee for monthly services is a flat fee so there are never any surprises! If we are doing clean-up or catch-up work for you we work with you to determine total fee and payments. Other payment options may be available but may cost slightly more.
For TAX PREP: We ask for an estimated payment up front and then begin your tax work. Once completed, the file will be available for you to review via your very own personal portal. If there are outstanding fees, you can pay right there and unlock your return to sign and approve for final filing with the feds or state.
What Software Do You Use?
Great question! For most clients, I use the #1 software in the world, QuickBooks Online. In fact, I am a QuickBooks Advanced ProAdvisor. Only about 10% of QuickBooks users earn the Advanced Certification. QuickBooks is secure, well supported and quite good at doing its job. Additional apps may help with specific business needs such as mileage tracking, time tracking and more. I will only recommend products that will make life easier, faster and better – nothing useless, outdated or of no value to you and your business. Period!
